Been too busy with work, cataloging books, attending Armadillocon, etc., to seek out Sunday Shoegaze offerings. To make amends here’s a Slowdive remix named after the most ghetto of drinks and slowed down enough for the tempo to work as Slowcore or Doom Metal.

Sunday, July 10th, 2016I would have thought I put up Cranes’ “Jewel” long ago in my Shoegazer Sunday series, but I do not appear to have done so, so here are two versions: a music video version that seems a bit flashier, and the more-stripped down album version.

“Shoegaze Band’s Pedalboard Becomes Self-Aware”
Saturday, June 18th, 2016Heh. I missed this from last year:
Local shoegaze rockers and engineering hobbyists, Whale Coma, accidentally created the world’s first artificially intelligent band member when their pedalboard became self-aware Sunday night.

Sunday, May 22nd, 2016A shoegaze band named after the first Slowdive song I ever heard? How can I resist?
Brian Jonestown Massacre’s “She’s Gone”
Sunday, May 15th, 2016I consider Brain Jonestown Massacre more of a psych than Shoegaze band, but this is the final song they played at their set with Slowdive in Austin, and that’s good enough for me.
