Shoegazer Sunday: Night Tapes’ “Helix”
Sunday, December 14th, 2025Shoegazer Sunday: His Name is Alive’s “Blue Moon”
Sunday, November 9th, 2025I’m not sure if this is technically Shoegaze or not, but it’s close enough. Here’s His Name Is Alive’s cover of Big Star’s “Blue Moon.”
Shoegazer Sunday: Charlotte Hatherley’s “Rejoice in the Sun”

Shoegazer Sunday: Sleep Party People’s “The Dwarf And The Horse”
Sunday, May 25th, 2025It’s been over seven years since I posted a video featuring the spooky rabbit people, so here they are with “The Dwarf And The Horse.” I think it’s even from the same performance.

Sunday, April 27th, 2025It seems that every six years or so I put up a song from semi-obscure Japanese Shoegaze/Post-Rock band Speaker Gain Teardrop, so here’s Metaphorville.”
Shoegazer Sunday: Prepare My Glider’s “Shimmer”
Sunday, March 2nd, 2025Although labeled as a demo of Slowdive’s sound, this is actually Prepare My Glider’s “Shimmer.”
Merry Christmas: Stellarscope’s “Silent Night”
Wednesday, December 25th, 2024As is the now annual tradition, enjoy Stellarscope’s version of “Silent Night”:
Merry Christmas!
Shoegazer Sunday: Sugar for the Pill’s “Falling Back To You”
Sunday, December 22nd, 2024Sugar for the Pill is another Shoegaze band named after a Slowdive song, and “Falling Back To You” is a pleasant uptempo song.
Shoegazer Sunday: Dead Leaf Echo’s “Lemonheart”
Sunday, December 15th, 2024Been a good long while since we did a Dead Leaf Echo song, so here’s “Lemonheart,” featuring a thoroughly silly video that talks a macabre (but still silly) turn.
Yeah, that’s no little girl…
